Hands-Free
A hands free male masturbator holds itself in place. Some anchor to a flat surface with a suction cup, some strap to a leg or a cushion, and some are heavy enough to stay put on their own — the point is the same: once it is set up, you do not hold it. That is a different design problem from simply being motorised, and it is why not every automatic toy is genuinely hands free.

What makes a masturbator genuinely hands free
Plenty of toys are sold as hands free when all they mean is “the motor does the stroking.” If you still have to grip the body to stop it sliding off, your hands are not actually free. Three things separate the real ones.
It resists its own motion
A thrusting or sucking mechanism generates force, and that force has to go somewhere. A toy that is not anchored will walk away from you. The models that work either have enough mass to absorb it or they attach to something that does.
It has a mounting method
Suction bases fix to tile, glass or a smooth table edge. Straps hold the toy against a cushion or thigh. Some units are shaped to sit stable on a flat surface under their own weight. The Pearlvibe Intruder 1.0 is built around this — a fully automatic unit designed to be set down rather than held.
The controls are reachable without repositioning
A remote, an app, or a single one-key control. If you have to reach around the body to change modes, you are back to holding it. Several of our models use one-key operation for exactly this reason, such as the 7 Telescoping & Rotating One-key Orgasm unit.
What these toys actually do
Being hands free is about mounting, not about sensation. Underneath, the mechanism is one of the usual ones — most of our range thrusts, and many combine that with suction, rotation or heating. The Chainsaw pairs thrusting with rotation; the MAIG adds heated silicone to an automatic telescoping action.
If you would rather choose by sensation than by mounting, start from automatic male masturbators and then filter for the ones that stay put.
Positions these toys open up
This is the practical reason to buy one. A surface-mounted toy can be used standing, kneeling or lying down, which no handheld cup allows. Strap-mounted models work lying down with no wall or table nearby. And because both hands are genuinely free, you can use a phone, a partner’s toy, or nothing at all.
It also matters for anyone with limited grip strength or shoulder mobility — a use case most product pages ignore entirely.
What to check before buying
- Surface requirements. A suction base needs smooth, non-porous surfaces. It will not hold on textured tile, wood grain or painted drywall.
- Stability under load. The stronger the thrust, the more anchoring it needs. Powerful units on weak mounts are the most common disappointment in this category.
- Control reach. Remote or app control is worth more on a hands free toy than on a handheld one.
- Noise. Mounting to a hard surface can amplify motor noise through the surface itself. A cushion mount is quieter than a tile mount.
- Cleaning access. Check whether the sleeve comes out while the unit stays mounted, or whether you have to dismount the whole thing.
Cleaning and storage
Rinse the sleeve with warm water and a mild unscented soap or a dedicated toy cleaner straight after use, and let it dry fully before it goes back in the housing. Do not submerge the motor housing unless the model is rated for it. Water-based lubricant only — silicone lubricant degrades silicone sleeves. Clean the suction base too: dust on the base is why a mount that held perfectly last week slips this week.
Common questions
Is hands free the same as automatic? No. Automatic means the motor moves. Hands free means the toy stays where you put it. Most hands free toys are automatic, but plenty of automatic toys still need holding.
Will a suction base damage a surface? Not on glass or tile. Avoid painted or varnished surfaces, where prolonged suction can lift the finish.
Are they heavier than normal masturbators? Usually yes — mass is part of how they stay stable. That is a trade-off against portability, not a flaw.
Do you ship discreetly? Yes — plain outer packaging with no product or brand markings on the outside.
