Remote Control Vibrators
A remote control vibrator moves the controls off the toy. A handset or a phone app drives it instead — which means someone else can, from the next seat or the next country. The mechanism is an ordinary vibrator; what changes is who is holding the buttons, and that changes what the toy is for.

Handset, Bluetooth or internet
Three different things get called “remote,” and the difference decides what you can actually do.
Physical handset
A small dedicated remote, usually good for a room or two. Nothing to install, nothing to pair, no phone involved. The most reliable option and the one least likely to fail at an awkward moment.
Bluetooth app
Your phone becomes the remote. Adds custom patterns, and on many models the ability to build and save your own rhythms. Range is still line-of-sight-ish — Bluetooth does not reach another building.
Internet-connected
Control passes over the network, so distance stops mattering. This is what people mean by long-distance play. Not every app-controlled toy supports it — many pair locally only, so confirm before buying on this feature.
What people actually use them for
Handing over control. The main reason. A partner decides what happens and when, which is a different experience from using the same toy yourself.
Wearing it out. Discreet use in public relies on a remote, because reaching the toy is not an option. If this is the use case, look at wearable vibrators — most of ours are remote-controlled, and the ones designed to be worn stay in place properly.
Long distance. Only internet-connected models do this.
Reaching the controls. An unglamorous but real reason — for insertable toys, buttons on the body are awkward to operate mid-use.
What to check before buying
- Stated range, and whether it is line of sight. Walls cut Bluetooth range considerably, and published figures assume open space.
- Whether it works without the remote. A toy with no onboard buttons is useless if the handset is lost or flat.
- Whether the remote is rechargeable or takes a cell, and whether a spare is available.
- Reconnection behaviour. Some models drop the link and need re-pairing; better ones reconnect on their own.
- Noise, which matters much more for a toy intended to be worn in public than for one used at home.
- App maintenance, if it is app-controlled. An abandoned app makes a connected toy a manual one.
Privacy on connected models
An app-controlled toy generally means an account and a cloud service. Use an email address you are comfortable with, check whether a profile is required just to use the toy locally, and turn off any usage analytics you would rather not share. None of this affects performance — it affects what you are agreeing to.

Remote control is a feature rather than a form factor, so it appears across the catalogue. Several of our G-spot vibrators and prostate massagers are remote-operated, and on the male side app control is covered by interactive male masturbators.
Cleaning
Wash the toy with warm water and a mild unscented soap or a dedicated toy cleaner after each use and dry fully. Do not submerge the handset — remotes are almost never waterproof even when the toy is. Water-based lubricant only on silicone. Store away from other silicone toys.
Common questions
How far does the remote reach? A handset covers a room or two. Bluetooth is similar with walls reducing it. Only internet-connected models work at genuine distance.
Does it work without a phone? On most models yes, through onboard buttons. Check if this matters to you.
Can I use one in public? That is what the wearable models are designed for. Check the noise level first.
Do you ship discreetly? Yes — plain outer packaging with no product or brand markings on the outside.
